N5API Repeater Page

Welcome to my repeater page.  The N5API/R currently operates on 441.300 with a positive offset of 5Mhz, and a PL tone of 146.2.  The repeater is a Motorola MSF5000, which is a commercial grade repeater capable of 100 watts of output power at a continuous duty cycle.  The output power is currently set to 15 watts.  The repeater is controlled by an Arcom RC-210 controller.  The repeater system is located near the center of the University of North Texas Denton campus, and provides roughly a fifteen mile mobile coverage radius.  Below are photos of the repeater as it is currently configured.

A view inside the repeater cabinet.  From top to bottom: the power amplifier, duplexer, controller, and RF deck.

The antenna (the one on the left in this photo.)  You can also see the speakers for the clock tower's electronic bell system.

The cabinet with the door on.

Coax running up to the antenna.  (No, mine is not the one with the blue CAT-5 tie wrapped to it!)  The staircase goes to the top of the tower where the antennas are.

A cool picture of the back side of one of the clocks.

These are located about half way up the tower.
