N5API Repeater Page
Welcome to my
repeater page. The N5API/R currently operates on 441.300 with a positive
offset of 5Mhz, and a PL tone of 146.2. The repeater is a Motorola
MSF5000, which is a commercial grade repeater capable of 100 watts of output
power at a continuous duty cycle. The output power is currently set to 15 watts.
The repeater is controlled by an Arcom RC-210 controller. The repeater system is located near the center of
the University of North Texas Denton campus, and provides roughly a fifteen mile mobile coverage radius. Below are photos of the repeater
as it is currently configured.

A view inside the repeater cabinet. From
top to bottom: the power amplifier, duplexer, controller, and RF deck. |

The antenna (the one on the left in this photo.)
You can also see the speakers for the clock tower's electronic bell system. |
|

The cabinet with the door on. |

Coax running up to the antenna. (No, mine
is not the one with the blue CAT-5 tie wrapped to it!) The staircase
goes to the top of the tower where the antennas are. |
|

A cool picture of the back side of one of the
clocks.
These are located about half way up the tower. |
